VNL at India-ASEAN ICT Expo 2017
VNL has wrapped up a very successful showcase at the India-ASEAN ICT Expo 2017 held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 6th – 7th December 2017. The focus of the Expo was on digital dreams of developing nations in the ASEAN region. At its exhibit VNL presented an array of connectivity solutions that can help Indonesia and other ASEAN countries including Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, in achieving their digital dreams.
VNL also concluded a press conference with Indonesian media in attendance. Company representatives briefed the media about the completion of its rural connectivity project, along with MMP – an Indonesia based system integrator, which has led to connectivity being extended to 33 remote villages in the island nation.
In a separate address, Mr. Prakash Gupta, Deputy Chief of Mission to Indonesia, gave a special mention to VNL’s successful rural infrastructure project in Indonesia and extended his best wishes to the company.
VNL displayed the following solutions at the Expo:
Digital Village solution that delivers ICT-led growth by bringing mobile and broadband connectivity to rural and remote areas.
Enterprise network solution that ‘mobilises’ existing PBXs and boosts productivity by allowing ‘anywhere-anytime’ access to workers on campus.
Disaster Management Solution that brings timely relief at disaster sites by restoring communication, and aids in search and rescue operations.
A series of significant interactions took place at the Expo:
Indian Ambassador to ASEAN, Mr. Suresh K Reddy in discussion about VNL’s rural connectivity and disaster management solutions.
Discussion on VNL’s remote enterprise solution with Mr. Kasudjono - President Commissoner of Trekkon, with the idea of turning remote plantations into "Digital Plantations".
Ms. Koesmarihari, MICT and USO advisor at the VNL booth in discussion about rural connectivity solutions and their application in Indonesia.
With its rural infrastructure project, VNL has taken the first step by enabling connectivity for 15,000 people in Indonesia, and aims to multiply this number significantly in each subsequent year. The company will enable seamless connectivity for villages and enterprises across Indonesia and the whole of ASEAN region. In addition to this, ResQMobil – VNL’s disaster management solution is targeted at disaster management agencies in all ASEAN countries.
