VNL’s LTE solutions make its international debut at #MWC2018
VNL recently concluded its participation at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2018. The event witnessed an attendance of more than 100,000 telecom and mobile industry experts, government representatives, and exhibitors from all over the world. The #MWC18 was held from February 25 – 28, 2018, at Barcelona, Spain.
VNL was part of the delegation at the India Pavilion at the MWC 18. The booth was inaugurated by India’s Hon’ble Telecom Minister Shri Manoj Sinha and Secretary, DoT, Ms. Aruna Sundarajan.
The newest offering from VNL – the indigenous 4G/LTE solutions (optimized for rural networks) were showcased at the MWC 2018. The solutions were inaugurated back home by Hon’ble’ Telecom Minister Shri Manoj Sinha, immediately after his felicitation for connecting 100,000 villages as part of Bharat Net at the annual get together of buyers and sellers, sponsored by Government of India under the aegis of Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council.
In the run up to the event, talking about India’s telecom capabilities, Ms. Sundarajan mentioned VNL’s contribution in connecting challenging topographies such as the Left-Wing Extremism areas of India, which has now become the world’s largest green network. The contribution also represents India’s #MakeInIndia and #DigitalIndia dream – which is slowly taking shape to connect the remotest last mile – in India and all over the world.
At the event, VNL showcased how the digital inclusion can be achieved by enabling e-Governance, Telemedicine, e-Education, e-Banking, e-Commerce via the solar powered telecom solutions which surpass challenges of impregnable terrains, poor infrastructure and extremism.
