The Rural Site is a 40-metre tower that supports up to three GSM antennas, VNL’s Prism Transmission equipment, and up to three BlueBox™ BTS units.
Unlike traditional GSM Base Stations, the Rural Site needs no shelter, air conditioning, mains power, generator or diesel fuel. But it’s still fully-functional GSM, ready for business in days.
Each WorldGSM™ Rural Site supports a cluster of up to 5 Village Sites – compact single-TRX Base Stations that are even easier to deploy.
